Introducing American Grass-fed & finished Wagyu

The epitome of tenderness, flavor, and ethical dining.

We have partnered with the USDA & The University of Idaho!

At Desert Mountain Grass-Fed, we are dedicated to implementing climate smart practices to enhance the sustainability of our regenerative ranching operations. Through our innovative climate smart program, we aim to reduce our environmental impact and promote ecosystem health.

Regeneratively raised grass-fed & finished American Wagyu Akaushi beef.

We BELIEVE in honest, quality beef.

Our cooperative of ranchers and farmers are working in harmony with the Earth to restore & heal our landscapes to their natural state.

Lovingly raised by us, on our ranges in Idaho, USA.

  • family ranching and farming

    Family owned & operated.

We are working together to create a better planet for future generations to come.

Every farm and ranch in our co-operative is family-owned. That means when you do business with us, you’re supporting small-scale, family agriculture.

  • Akaushi Beef.

Akaushi beef naturally contains intense marbling. It is generally recognized that fat is responsible for the palatability of beef, but it is actually the monounsaturated fat that is responsible for the flavor. The marbling in Akaushi beef contains a much higher percentage of monounsaturated fat than any other beef in the United States. As a result, Akaushi beef has a rich buttery flavor as well as juiciness and tenderness throughout.

  • ranching cowboy

    Humane animal treatment.

Our cattle thrive on a natural forage grazing system, which emphasizes humane herd health, humane handling, and stringent adherence to GAP standards both in the field, and at our processing facility.

We are honored and excited to be selected as recipients of the USDA Climate Smart Commodities Grant!

In collaboration with the University of Idaho, we will be implementing cutting-edge regenerative agricultural practices to continue improving our soils, promote biodiversity, and sequester carbon through the implementation of cover crops and innovative land management practices.
